Terms of Service

1. The service

Ignite is a mobile alarm app that requires you to point your device's camera at a personal item it recognizes in order to dismiss the alarm. We provide the app and a backend that syncs your settings and tracks your wake streak.

2. Alarm reliability — important

Do not rely on Ignite as your sole alarm for situations where failing to wake up could cause harm, loss, or danger. Alarms depend on your device's hardware, operating system, battery, volume, notification permissions, and Focus settings, all of which are outside our control.

We make no guarantee that an alarm will sound at the intended time, at an audible volume, or at all. The app is provided as a tool to help you wake up — not as a guaranteed, fail-safe service.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide an accurate email address so we can deliver password-reset codes. You must be at least 13 years old to use Ignite.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to it, or using it to violate any law or the rights of others.

5. Intellectual property

Ignite, its name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

6. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service, including any failure of an alarm to sound.

8. Termination

You may stop using Ignite and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or misuse the service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Ignite after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
